Domino is a family of games that requires strategy, patience and luck to win. From simple dominoes games with friends to complex tournaments, each action’s outcome depends on what happened during previous actions – known as domino effects; cascades from one event into more dramatic series of events starting with just one initial event and cascading into more dramatic sequences – just as in computer programs. This principle also works in real life situations!
The word domino is derived from Latin words meaning to flip and fall, originally meaning to flip over or cover with a mask in a masquerade; later it came to refer to capes worn over surplices during celebrations or carnival season by priests. Dominoes, related to card decks, were first created in China during the 1300s with each piece bearing black-and-white markings representing outcomes from throwing two six-sided dice; since then European dominoes are made out of natural materials like silver lip ocean pearl oyster shell (mother of Pearl), ivory or dark woods such as ebony with contrastive black-and white markings both painted or inlaid into them for added flair!
One of the best examples of domino effect in business is Domino’s Pizza, which rose to fame during the late 1960s through a franchise strategy centered on opening pizzerias near college campuses and targeting their core audience with fast pizza delivery services. Unfortunately, during 2004 they began losing momentum and faced considerable obstacles – creating yet another domino effect effect in business.
Domino’s successfully turned things around in 2009 through an aggressive self-aware campaign led by then President of US Operations J. Patrick Doyle that fostered self-reflection and opened up about its errors swiftly and swiftly implemented changes quickly. A video featuring employees reading critical reviews about Domino’s was part of this initiative, while others saw employees reading employee testimonials that were extremely brave for such a large corporation. As a result, they acknowledged their errors quickly and implemented necessary changes swiftly.
Domino’s success can also be attributed to their commitment to innovation, fostered through cross-functional teams in Ann Arbor’s World Resource Center. This emphasis on creativity helps Domino’s stay ahead of competitors while meeting evolving customer demand; most recently they announced they are integrating their ordering platform with Apple CarPlay which will allow customers to order pizza right from their car!
One effective way of thinking about domino effects in fiction writing is to visualize each scene as its own domino. Doing this makes it easy to identify scenes that seem out of place or don’t make enough logical sense when placed next to other scenes in your story – an invaluable way of eliminating unnecessary or redundant ones as you write, especially if you prefer pantsing over outlining or software like Scrivener.
