For the first time ever, sgp Prize will be presented to six continental teams as finalists from over 1,300 nominations by an international panel of experts. Kensington Palace will present this initiative designed to fund scientific research that could transform lives.

Shortlisted teams’ projects span a range of subjects, from an online database for archiving family history to developing less carbon-intensive methods for treating industrial waste. Mentorship and funding will also be made available to them; with winners announced at a ceremony held during summer 2022.

Mr Mahbubani spoke at the launch of this competition to explain its purpose – encouraging young storytellers to interpret Singapore history and culture creatively through storytelling. He thanked all sponsors, participants and jury for contributing to its success as well as National Library Board for hosting this event as well as Nanyang Girls’ High School and Hwa Chong Institute for helping their students submit entries through them.

SGP odds differ from other parlay bets in that they are calculated differently than other parlays. To learn more, please review the Sportsbook Market Rules Section or visit the SGP-Specific Odds Page.

At a ceremony at the National Library Board, winners will be revealed. They will receive a specially-designed trophy and certificate as prizes; runners-up will each be given S$10,000 cash prizes; while three of the best entries will each receive S$50K as rewards.

In previous years, the Sustainable Green Planet Prize (sgp Prize) has been given out to teams of ten finalists from around the globe for their achievements in science and technology; individuals were also recognized for their contribution in preserving local heritage. It was initially established to encourage individuals and teams alike to tackle some of our planet’s biggest problems through global collaboration.

SGP is an innovative international prize that recognizes innovation across fields – both artistic and scientific – recognizing creativity’s role in solving real-world issues while encouraging the development of diverse skillsets. As the SGP Prize becomes more widely-known, its scope should expand accordingly. Furthermore, as it is the only global prize with public voting capabilities – further making it transparent and inclusive. The Singapore Global Prize has received support from some of the leading organizations, such as the World Economic Forum. Notable supporters include Singapore’s Government, Temasek Holdings, Google, as well as various private foundations including Lee Foundation, S.E.A Trust and Asean Foundation – with total prize value exceeding US$100 Million!
